Warranty Policy


Limited Warranty

(Liability for Repair and Replacement Only)

    Engineered Measurement Systems, Inc. products unless otherwise noted are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of shipment from the company's factory, unless limited by fatigue life. The company's sole obligation under this warranty is limited to repair, or at the company's option, replacement of those products and components which the company has determined to be defective. This warranty extends only to products and components that are properly installed and used and does not extend to products which have been modified without the company's written approval or which have been subjected to unusual physical or electrical stress or upon which the original identification marks have been removed or altered. Proper coupling types must be installed and aligned to manufacture's specifications. Rotating mass unbalances are to be in accordance with ISO 1940/1 and ANSI S 2.19.)

    Whenever the design of the equipment to be furnished or the system in which it is to be incorporated originate with the Buyer, manufacturer's warranty is limited specifically to matters relating to furnishing of equipment free of defects in material and workmanship and assumes no responsibility for implied warranties of fitness for purpose or use.

    This warranty is exclusive of all other warranties and the company hereby expressly disclaims all other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The company shall not be liable for installation charges for expenses of the buyer for repairs or replacement for damages of delay or loss of use or any other indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind.

    Transportation charges for material shipped to the factory for warranty repair are to be paid by the shipper. The company will return products repaired or replaced under warranty with transportation charges prepaid. No product shall be returned for repair without prior authorization from Engineered Measurement Systems, Inc..

Safety Considerations

    It would be unsafe to operate EMS sensors beyond static overload or extraneous load limits or higher than maximum speed. When in doubt consult the company. Engineered Measurement Systems, Inc. is not responsible for any property damage or personal injury which may result because of the misapplication or misinstallation of EMS sensors. Where applicable, safety shields must be used.
